LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
GENERAL SITUATION


UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE REMNANT OF HAIKUI, THERE WERE
SHOWERS OVER THE COASTAL AREAS OF GUANGDONG YESTERDAY.
LOCALLY, IT WAS MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. THERE
WERE SUNNY INTERVALS IN THE AFTERNOON. SHOWERS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE REMNANT OF HAIKUI WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE
COAST OF SOUTHERN CHINA TODAY. A BROAD TROUGH OF LOW
PRESSURE WILL BRING UNSETTLED WEATHER TO THE NORTHERN PART
OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA AND THE COAST OF GUANGDONG IN THE
NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.


 
BESIDES, TROPICAL DEPRESSION YUN-YEUNG INTENSIFIED INTO A
TROPICAL STORM YESTERDAY. AT 11 P.M. LAST NIGHT, YUN-YEUNG
WAS CENTRED ABOUT 580 KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF KAGOSHIMA. IT
IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 28 KILOMETRES PER
HOUR IN THE GENERAL DIRECTION OF THE SEAS SOUTH OF JAPAN.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS. MORE SHOWERS LATER. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE
BETWEEN 27 AND 31 DEGREES. MODERATE SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS.


 
OUTLOOK : THERE WILL STILL BE A FEW SHOWERS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS. SUNNY INTERVALS EARLY NEXT WEEK.
