HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
GENERAL SITUATION
A SOUTHERLY AIRSTREAM AFFECTED THE COAST OF GUANGDONG
YESTERDAY. BESIDES, THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE
NORTHERN PART OF SOUTHERN CHINA ALSO MOVED SOUTHWARDS
GRADUALLY. LOCALLY, THERE WERE SUNNY INTERVALS YESTERDAY.
THERE WERE MIST PATCHES AT FIRST. THE VISIBILITY IN THE
HARBOUR ONCE FELL BELOW 3000 METRES. THERE WERE ALSO ONE OR
TWO SHOWERS IN THE MORNING AND AT NIGHT. IT WAS HOT DURING
THE DAY WITH TEMPERATURES OVER MANY PLACES RISING TO AROUND
29 DEGREES. THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO MOVE
FURTHER TO THE COAST OF GUANGDONG, AND BRING SHOWERS AND
SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF
DAYS.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
SHOWERS WILL BECOME MORE FREQUENT DURING THE DAY.
TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 24 AND 29 DEGREES. MODERATE
SOUTH TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS, GUSTY AT TIMES.
OUTLOOK : OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS IN
THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS. SHOWERS WILL EASE OFF
GRADUALLY DURING THE WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK.
