HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
A BROAD TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS AFFECTING THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG AND THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA.
LOCALLY, SHOWERS AT NIGHT BROUGHT MORE THAN 30 MILLIMETRES
OF RAINFALL TO PARTS OF THE TERRITORY. BESIDES, AN EASTERLY
AIRSTREAM IS AFFECTING THE COAST OF SOUTHERN CHINA.
TYPHOON ROKE HAS WEAKENED INTO A SEVERE TROPICAL STORM. AT
8 P.M., ROKE WAS CENTRED ABOUT 750 KILOMETRES SOUTH OF
TOKYO. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE EAST-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 28
KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE SEAS SOUTH OF JAPAN.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWERS WILL BE HEAVY AT FIRST. TEMPERATURES
WILL RANGE BETWEEN 26 AND 30 DEGREES TOMORROW. MODERATE TO
FRESH EASTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE AT FIRST.
OUTLOOK : SUNNY PERIODS AND A FEW SHOWERS ON SUNDAY.
