LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
A BROAD TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS AFFECTING THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG AND THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA.
LOCALLY, THUNDERY SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON BROUGHT MORE
THAN 30 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL TO MANY PLACES. BESIDES, AN
EASTERLY AIRSTREAM IS AFFECTING THE COAST OF SOUTHERN CHINA.


 
AT 4 P.M., TYPHOON ROKE WAS CENTRED ABOUT 690 KILOMETRES
SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF OSAKA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
EAST-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 28 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
SEAS SOUTH OF JAPAN.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND SQUALLY
THUNDERSTORMS. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 26 AND 30
DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH EASTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY
STRONG OFFSHORE AT FIRST.


 
OUTLOOK : SUNNY PERIODS AND A FEW SHOWERS ON SUNDAY.
BECOMING FINE ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY. WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN
FROM THE EAST IN THE MIDDLE AND LATTER PARTS OF NEXT WEEK.
