HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
GENERAL SITUATION
A DRY CONTINENTAL AIRSTREAM BROUGHT GENERALLY FINE WEATHER
TO SOUTHERN CHINA YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, IT WAS FINE AND DRY,
VERY HOT DURING THE DAY. THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER PARTS
OF THE TERRITORY FELL TO 50 PER CENT OR BELOW IN THE
AFTERNOON. UNDER THE CONTINUOUS INFLUENCE OF THE DRY
CONTINENTAL AIRSTREAM, THE WEATHER OVER SOUTHERN CHINA IS
EXPECTED TO BE GENERALLY FINE AND VERY HOT IN THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS, THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DAY AND
NIGHT WILL BE RELATIVELY LARGE.
AT 11 P.M. LAST NIGHT, SEVERE TYPHOON HINNAMNOR WAS CENTRED
ABOUT 310 KILOMETRES EAST OF TAIBEI. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTH AT ABOUT 14 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE EAST
CHINA SEA.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG (SUNDAY, 4 SEP 2022)
MAINLY FINE AND DRY. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT
27 DEGREES. VERY HOT DURING THE DAY. THE MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 33 DEGREES IN THE URBAN AREAS,
AND A COUPLE OF DEGREES HIGHER IN THE NEW TERRITORIES.
MODERATE NORTHWESTERLY WINDS.
OUTLOOK : MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE
OF DAYS. DRY WITH RELATIVELY LARGE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE
