LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
A WEAK NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING SOUTHERN CHINA.
BESIDES, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TRIGGERED BY HIGH
TEMPERATURES BROUGHT MORE THAN 10 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL
TO MANY PLACES OF HONG KONG IN THE AFTERNOON, AND RAINFALL
EVEN EXCEEDED 70 MILLIMETRES OVER TAI PO AND NORTH DISTRICT.


 
AT 4 P.M., SUPER TYPHOON HINNAMNOR WAS CENTRED ABOUT 560
KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF TAIBEI. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
SOUTH-SOUTHWEST SLOWLY, LINGERING OVER THE SEAS EAST OF
TAIWAN.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW


 
CLOUDY AT FIRST WITH SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THE MINIMUM
TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 27 DEGREES. MAINLY FINE AND VERY
HOT TOMORROW. DRY DURING THE DAY. THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE
WILL BE AROUND 34 DEGREES IN THE URBAN AREAS, AND A COUPLE
OF DEGREES HIGHER IN THE NEW TERRITORIES. MODERATE NORTH TO
NORTHWESTERLY WINDS.


 
OUTLOOK : FINE AND VERY HOT, DRY DURING THE DAY IN THE
FOLLOWING FEW DAYS.
