LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TRIGGERED BY HIGH TEMPERATURES
ARE AFFECTING THE VICINITY OF THE PEARL RIVER ESTUARY.
LOCALLY, MORE THAN 10 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED
OVER PARTS OF KOWLOON AND THE NEW TERRITORIES IN THE
AFTERNOON.


 
AT 4 P.M., SUPER TYPHOON HINNAMNOR WAS CENTRED ABOUT 720
KILOMETRES EAST OF OKINAWA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST OR
WEST-SOUTHWEST AT ABOUT 25 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE
VICINITY OF THE RYUKYU ISLANDS.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWERS
WILL BE HEAVIER IN SOME AREAS AT FIRST. VERY HOT WITH SUNNY
INTERVALS DURING THE DAY TOMORROW. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE
BETWEEN 28 AND 33 DEGREES. LIGHT WINDS.


 
OUTLOOK : SUNNY INTERVALS, A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS. SHOWERS WILL EASE OFF AND
IT WILL BE DRY AND VERY HOT DURING THE DAY OVER THE WEEKEND
TO EARLY NEXT WEEK.
