HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
GENERAL SITUATION


THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE NORTHERN PART OF THE
SOUTH CHINA SEA MOVED TOWARDS THE COAST OF WESTERN
GUANGDONG AND WEAKENED GRADUALLY YESTERDAY. BESIDES, A
BROAD TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE BROUGHT UNSETTLED WEATHER TO
THE COAST OF GUANGDONG AND THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH
CHINA SEA IN THE AFTERNOON YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, THERE WERE
SUNNY PERIODS YESTERDAY MORNING. IT WAS MAINLY CLOUDY WITH
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON. SHOWERS WERE
HEAVY AT TIMES. MORE THAN 30 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE
RECORDED OVER MANY PLACES, AND RAINFALL EVEN EXCEEDED 70
MILLIMETRES OVER PARTS OF THE NEW TERRITORIES. THE BROAD
TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BRING SHOWERS TO
THE COAST OF GUANGDONG IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
WILL BE ABOUT 26 DEGREES. VERY HOT WITH SUNNY PERIODS
DURING THE DAY. THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 33
DEGREES. MODERATE SOUTH TO SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS.


 
OUTLOOK : A FEW SHOWERS IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS.
BECOMING MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT EARLY NEXT WEEK.
