TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN
HERE IS THE LATEST TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN ISSUED
BY THE HONG KONG OBSERVATORY.
THE STANDBY SIGNAL, NO. 1 IS IN FORCE.
AT 7 A.M., THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION OVER THE NORTHERN PART
OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 180
KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF HONG KONG (NEAR 21.1 DEGREES NORTH
115.4 DEGREES EAST) AND FORECAST TO MOVE EAST AND THEN
TRACK NORTHEAST LATER AT ABOUT 12 KILOMETRES PER HOUR
ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS OF GUANGDONG.
THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION IS MOVING GRADUALLY AWAY FROM HONG
KONG, BUT THERE ARE STILL OCCASIONAL STRONG WINDS ON HIGH
GROUNDS IN THE TERRITORY AT FIRST. THE STANDBY SIGNAL, NO.
1 WILL REMAIN IN FORCE FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.
THE RAINBANDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE TROPICAL DEPRESSION WILL
OCCASIONALLY BRING SHOWERS AND SQUALLS TO HONG KONG IN THE
NEXT FEW DAYS. THERE WILL ALSO BE SWELLS. PUBLIC SHOULD
REMAIN ON THE ALERT.

1. DRAINS SHOULD BE CLEARED OF LEAVES AND RUBBISH. PEOPLE
