OBSERVATORY.
THE NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING SOUTHERN CHINA. A BAND
OF CLOUDS ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL CYCLONE ETAU IS COVERING
THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA AND THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG.
TROPICAL STORM ETAU HAS WEAKENED INTO A TROPICAL
DEPRESSION. AT 10 P.M., ETAU WAS CENTRED ABOUT 220
KILOMETRES NORTH-NORTHEAST OF HO CHI MINH CITY. IT IS
FORECAST TO MOVE WEST AT ABOUT 15 KILOMETRES PER HOUR
ACROSS INDO-CHINA AND DISSIPATE GRADUALLY.
MEANWHILE, SEVERE TROPICAL STORM VAMCO WAS CENTRED ABOUT
600 KILOMETRES EAST OF MANILA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST
AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE PHILIPPINES AND
INTENSIFY GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
MAINLY CLOUDY AT FIRST. BECOMING FINE AND DRY DURING THE
DAY TOMORROW. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 21 AND 26
DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH EAST TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS,
OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE.
OUTLOOK : FINE AND DRY ON THURSDAY. SLIGHTLY COOLER IN THE
MORNING AND AT NIGHT. BECOMING CLOUDY ON FRIDAY AND THERE
