HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
A DRY NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING SOUTHERN CHINA.
LOCALLY, THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY OVER MOST PARTS OF THE
TERRITORY FELL BELOW 50 PER CENT IN THE AFTERNOON. A BAND
OF CLOUDS ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL STORM ETAU IS COVERING
THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA AND THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG.
AT 4 P.M., ETAU WAS CENTRED ABOUT 300 KILOMETRES NORTHEAST
OF HO CHI MINH CITY. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST AT ABOUT
15 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS INDO-CHINA AND DISSIPATE
GRADUALLY.
MEANWHILE, TROPICAL STORM VAMCO WAS CENTRED ABOUT 730
KILOMETRES EAST OF MANILA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWEST
AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE PHILIPPINES AND
INTENSIFY GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
MAINLY CLOUDY AT FIRST. BECOMING FINE AND DRY DURING THE
DAY TOMORROW. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 21 AND 26
DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH EAST TO NORTHEASTERLY WINDS,
OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE LATER.
OUTLOOK : FINE AND DRY ON THURSDAY. SLIGHTLY COOLER IN THE
MORNING AND AT NIGHT. BECOMING CLOUDY ON FRIDAY AND THERE
