OBSERVATORY.


 
THE NORTHEAST MONSOON IS AFFECTING SOUTHERN CHINA. A BAND
OF CLOUDS ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL STORM ETAU IS COVERING
THE NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA AND THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG.


 
AT 2 A.M., ETAU WAS CENTRED ABOUT 470 KILOMETRES
EAST-NORTHEAST OF HO CHI MINH CITY. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST OR WEST-SOUTHWEST AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR
TOWARDS THE SOUTHERN PART OF VIETNAM.
 
MEANWHILE, TROPICAL DEPRESSION VAMCO WAS CENTRED ABOUT 950
KILOMETRES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF MANILA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 18 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE
PHILIPPINES AND INTENSIFY GRADUALLY.

MAINLY CLOUDY. ONE OR TWO LIGHT RAIN PATCHES AT FIRST.
TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 22 AND 25 DEGREES. MODERATE
TO FRESH NORTHEASTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE.


 
OUTLOOK : MAINLY FINE AND DRY IN THE FOLLOWING COUPLE OF
DAYS. SLIGHTLY COOLER IN THE MORNING AND AT NIGHT. BECOMING
CLOUDY TOWARDS THE WEEKEND.
