LOCAL WEATHER FORECAST

HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
 
GENERAL SITUATION

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE BROUGHT THUNDERY SHOWERS TO THE
COAST OF GUANGDONG YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, IT WAS CLOUDY. THERE
WERE DOWNPOURS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE MORNING. THE
OBSERVATORY ISSUED THE BLACK RAINSTORM WARNING, THE FIRST
ONE THIS YEAR. MORE THAN 100 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE
RECORDED OVER MOST PARTS OF THE TERRITORY, AND RAINFALL
EVEN EXCEEDED 200 MILLIMETRES OVER TSUEN WAN, SHA TIN, TAI
PO, SAI KUNG AND KOWLOON EAST. THERE WERE 14085 STROKES OF
CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING RECORDED WITHIN HONG KONG
YESTERDAY, THE SECOND MOST ON RECORD. THE TROUGH OF LOW
PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT SOUTHERN CHINA TODAY AND
TOMORROW. THE WEATHER WILL BE UNSETTLED WITH OCCASIONAL
HEAVY SHOWERS OVER THE REGION. WITH THE ANTICYCLONE ALOFT
STRENGTHENING, THE WEATHER WILL IMPROVE AND IT WILL BE HOT
OVER THE COAST OF GUANGDONG MIDWEEK THIS WEEK.

CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
SHOWERS WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES IN THE MORNING. TEMPERATURES
WILL RANGE BETWEEN 25 AND 29 DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH
SOUTH TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS.
 
OUTLOOK : THERE WILL STILL BE THUNDERY SHOWERS ON MONDAY
MORNING. THE WEATHER WILL IMPROVE AND IT WILL BE HOT IN THE
