HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.


 
GENERAL SITUATION


A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE BROUGHT UNSETTLED WEATHER TO THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA YESTERDAY. THE
ASSOCIATED BAND OF INTENSE THUNDERY SHOWERS CONTINUED TO
DEVELOP OVER THE SEAS SOUTH OF HONG KONG YESTERDAY MORNING.
THUNDERY SHOWERS TRIGGERED BY HIGH TEMPERATURES AFFECTED
GUANGDONG IN THE AFTERNOON. LOCALLY, THERE WERE SUNNY
PERIODS AND A FEW SHOWERS. A FEW MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL
WERE RECORDED OVER THE NORTHERN PART OF THE NEW TERRITORIES
IN THE AFTERNOON. THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE
TO BRING UNSETTLED WEATHER TO THE NORTHERN PART OF THE
SOUTH CHINA SEA TODAY. ANOTHER TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL
BRING HEAVY SHOWERS AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS TO SOUTHERN
CHINA IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.


 
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG


 
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH A FEW SHOWERS. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
WILL BE ABOUT 26 DEGREES. HOT WITH SUNNY INTERVALS DURING
THE DAY. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS LATER. THE MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 30 DEGREES. MODERATE SOUTHERLY
WINDS.


 
OUTLOOK : HEAVY SHOWERS AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS ON
THURSDAY AND EARLY FRIDAY. SHOWERS WILL EASE OFF OVER THE
WEEKEND.
