OBSERVATORY.
SHOWERS ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL CYCLONE BEBINCA ARE
AFFECTING THE COAST OF GUANGDONG AND THE NORTHERN PART OF
THE SOUTH CHINA SEA.
THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR THE RYUKYU ISLANDS HAS
INTENSIFIED INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION AND WAS NAMED
RUMBIA. AT 1 P.M., RUMBIA WAS CENTRED ABOUT 180 KILOMETRES
NORTH-NORTHWEST OF OKINAWA. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 20 KILOMETRES PER HOUR ACROSS THE
EAST CHINA SEA.
MEANWHILE, SEVERE TROPICAL STORM BEBINCA WAS CENTRED ABOUT
140 KILOMETRES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF ZHANJIANG. IT IS FORECAST
TO MOVE WEST AT ABOUT 10 KILOMETRES PER HOUR IN THE GENERAL
DIRECTION OF THE VICINITY OF LEIZHOU PENINSULA.
BESIDES, TROPICAL DEPRESSION LEEPI WAS CENTRED ABOUT 80
KILOMETRES SOUTHEAST OF BUSAN. IT IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTH-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 25 KILOMETRES PER HOUR TOWARDS THE
SOUTHERN PART OF KOREAN PENINSULA AND DISSIPATE GRADUALLY.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
MAINLY CLOUDY WITH OCCASIONAL SHOWERS. HOT IN THE
AFTERNOON. MODERATE SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS, OCCASIONALLY FRESH
