TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN
HERE IS THE LATEST TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN ISSUED
BY THE HONG KONG OBSERVATORY.
THE STANDBY SIGNAL, NO. 1 WAS ISSUED AT 2:20 A.M.
AT 2 A.M., TROPICAL STORM BEBINCA WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT
190 KILOMETRES SOUTHWEST OF HONG KONG (NEAR 21.1 DEGREES
NORTH 112.9 DEGREES EAST) AND IS FORECAST TO MOVE NORTHWEST
OR WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 8 KILOMETRES PER HOUR GRADUALLY
EDGING CLOSER TO THE VICINITY OF THE COAST OF WESTERN
GUANGDONG.
THE RAINBANDS OF BEBINCA WILL STILL AFFECT HONG KONG.
WINDS WILL BE OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON HIGH
GROUND AT FIRST. PUBLIC SHOULD REMAIN ON THE ALERT.
WHEN BEBINCA MOVES FURTHER AWAY FROM THE TERRITORY TODAY
AND NO LONGER POSES A THREAT TO HONG KONG, THE OBSERVATORY
WILL CANCEL ALL TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING SIGNALS.

1. STRONG WINDS ARE STILL BLOWING OVER OFFSHORE WATERS.
SMALL VESSELS SHOULD REMAIN IN SHELTER AND PRECAUTIONS
SHOULD NOT YET BE RELAXED.
2. SINCE THERE ARE SWELLS OVER OFFSHORE WATERS, YOU ARE
ADVISED TO REMAIN STAYING AWAY FROM THE SHORELINE.
