TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN
HERE IS THE LATEST TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN ISSUED
BY THE HONG KONG OBSERVATORY.
THE STANDBY SIGNAL, NO. 1 IS IN FORCE.
THIS MEANS THAT A TROPICAL CYCLONE NOW CENTRED WITHIN ABOUT
800 KILOMETRES OF HONG KONG MAY AFFECT US.
AT NOON, TROPICAL STORM EWINIAR WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT
330 KILOMETRES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF HONG KONG (NEAR 20.9
DEGREES NORTH 111.4 DEGREES EAST) AND IS FORECAST TO MOVE
NORTH OR NORTH-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 10 KILOMETRES PER HOUR
EDGING CLOSER TO THE COAST OF WESTERN GUANGDONG.
AS EWINIAR IS GRADUALLY EDGING CLOSER TO HONG KONG, LOCAL
WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN. THE OBSERVATORY WILL ISSUE THE
STRONG WIND SIGNAL, NO.3 SHORTLY. THE RAINBANDS ASSOCIATED
WITH EWINIAR WILL BRING SQUALLS AND HEAVY RAIN TO HONG
KONG. MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC SHOULD STAY ON THE ALERT.
OUTER RAINBANDS ASSOCIATED WITH EWINIAR WILL STILL BRING
SQUALLY SHOWERS TO THE COAST OF GUANGDONG IN THE NEXT
COUPLE OF DAYS.
(PRECAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENTS WITH NO. 1 SIGNAL)

CHECKED.
2. DRAINS SHOULD BE CLEARED OF LEAVES AND RUBBISH. PEOPLE
