HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
GENERAL SITUATION
SHOWERS AFFECTED THE COAST OF GUANGDONG AND THE NORTHERN
PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, IT WAS
CLOUDY WITH SHOWERS AND A FEW SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS. MORE
THAN 30 MILLIMETRES OF RAINFALL WERE RECORDED IN MANY
PLACES. THE TROPICAL CYCLONE OVER THE NORTHERN PART OF THE
SOUTH CHINA SEA WILL EDGE CLOSER TO THE VICINITY OF WESTERN
GUANGDONG TODAY AND TOMORROW. HOWEVER, DEPENDING ON THE
CHANGES OF UPPER-AIR STEERING FLOW, THERE IS RATHER HIGH
UNCERTAINTY IN THE SUBSEQUENT MOVEMENT OF THE TROPICAL
DEPRESSION. ITS ASSOCIATED RAINBANDS WILL BRING SQUALLY
SHOWERS TO HONG KONG IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
CLOUDY WITH SQUALLY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWERS WILL
BE HEAVY AT TIMES. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 26 AND
29 DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH EAST TO SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS,
OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE AND ON HIGH GROUND. THERE WILL
BE SWELLS.
OUTLOOK : SQUALLY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE
FOLLOWING COUPLE OF DAYS.
