TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN
HERE IS THE LATEST TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN ISSUED
BY THE HONG KONG OBSERVATORY.
THE STANDBY SIGNAL, NO. 1 WAS ISSUED AT 6:20 P.M.
AT 6 P.M., TYPHOON HATO WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 240
KILOMETRES WEST OF HONG KONG (NEAR 22.6 DEGREES NORTH 111.9
DEGREES EAST) AND IS FORECAST TO MOVE WEST-NORTHWEST AT
ABOUT 25 KILOMETRES PER HOUR INTO INLAND GUANGDONG, AND
WEAKEN GRADUALLY.
OCCASIONAL STRONG WINDS ARE STILL AFFECTING OFFSHORE AREAS
OF HONG KONG. DEPENDING ON THE CHANGES IN LOCAL WINDS, THE
OBSERVATORY WILL CONSIDER CANCELLING ALL TROPICAL CYCLONE
WARNING SIGNALS.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE OUTER RAINBAND OF HATO, THERE
WILL STILL BE OCCASIONAL SHOWERS.

ARE ADVISED TO STAY AWAY FROM THE SHORELINE AND NOT TO

2. FLIGHTS AT HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT MAY BE
AFFECTED BY THE WEATHER. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR AIRLINE FOR
THE LATEST FLIGHT INFORMATION BEFORE DEPARTING FOR THE
AIRPORT.
