HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
THE ANTICYCLONE ALOFT IS BRINGING GENERALLY FINE WEATHER TO
SOUTHEASTERN CHINA. LOCALLY, IT WAS VERY HOT THIS
AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES OVER PARTS OF THE TERRITORY ROSE TO
AROUND 34 DEGREES.
AT 4 P.M., SEVERE TYPHOON NORU WAS CENTRED ABOUT 170
KILOMETRES SOUTH-SOUTHWEST OF KAGOSHIMA. IT IS FORECAST TO
MOVE NORTH SLOWLY TOWARDS THE VICINITY OF KYUSHU, JAPAN.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR TONIGHT AND TOMORROW
MAINLY FINE AND VERY HOT. THERE WILL BE ISOLATED SHOWERS
TOMORROW. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE ABOUT 28 DEGREES.
THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WILL BE AROUND 33 DEGREES IN THE
URBAN AREAS, AND A COUPLE OF DEGREES HIGHER IN THE NEW
TERRITORIES. MODERATE SOUTH TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS.
