TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN
HERE IS THE LATEST TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING BULLETIN ISSUED
BY THE HONG KONG OBSERVATORY.
THE STRONG WIND SIGNAL, NO. 3 WAS ISSUED AT 1:20 P.M.
THIS MEANS THAT WINDS WITH MEAN SPEEDS OF 41 TO 62
KILOMETRES PER HOUR ARE EXPECTED.
AT 1 P.M., TROPICAL STORM ROKE WAS ESTIMATED TO BE ABOUT 60
KILOMETRES NORTHWEST OF HONG KONG OBSERVATORY (NEAR 22.6
DEGREES NORTH 113.7 DEGREES EAST) AND IS FORECAST TO MOVE
WEST OR WEST-NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 20 KILOMETRES PER HOUR
ACROSS INLAND GUANGDONG AND WEAKEN GRADUALLY.
ROKE IS DEPARTING HONG KONG AND IS WEAKENING QUICKLY. WHEN
THE THREAT OF ROKE TO HONG KONG FURTHER DECREASES, THE
OBSERVATORY WILL CANCEL ALL THE TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING
SIGNALS.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE CIRCULATION OF ROKE, THERE WILL
STILL BE SQUALLY SHOWERS IN THE VICINITY OF THE PEARL RIVER
ESTUARY. SEAS ARE ROUGH AND THERE ARE SWELLS. YOU ARE
ADVISED TO STAY AWAY FROM THE SHORELINE AND NOT TO ENGAGE
IN WATER SPORTS.
