HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER BULLETIN ISSUED BY THE HONG KONG
OBSERVATORY.
GENERAL SITUATION
THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE BROUGHT VERY HOT WEATHER TO THE
SOUTHEASTERN PART OF CHINA YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, THERE WERE A
FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AT FIRST. IT WAS VERY HOT
WITH SUNNY PERIODS DURING THE DAY. BESIDES, THE AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA HAD
INTENSIFIED INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION YESTERDAY MORNING.
ANOTHER AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR LUZON ENTERED THE
NORTHEASTERN PART OF THE SOUTH CHINA SEA, INTENSIFIED INTO
A TROPICAL DEPRESSION AND WAS NAMED ROKE. ROKE IS EXPECTED
TO MOVE TOWARDS THE COAST OF GUANGDONG TODAY AND BRING
UNSETTLED WEATHER TO THE REGION.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
MAINLY CLOUDY. OCCASIONAL SQUALLY SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS. TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 26 AND 30
DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH EASTERLY WINDS, BECOMING NORTH
TO NORTHWEST, OCCASIONALLY STRONG OFFSHORE. BECOMING
SOUTHWEST AT NIGHT. THERE WILL BE SWELLS.
OUTLOOK : SHOWERS WILL EASE OFF ON MONDAY. BECOMING FINE
AND VERY HOT IN THE FOLLOWING FEW DAYS.
