GENERAL SITUATION
THE NORTHEAST MONSOON CONTINUED TO AFFECT THE COAST OF
GUANGDONG YESTERDAY. LOCALLY, IT WAS MAINLY FINE. THE
WEATHER WAS DRY DURING THE DAY. BESIDES, SARIKA MOVED
ACROSS LUZON YESTERDAY MORNING AND WEAKENED FROM A SEVERE
TYPHOON INTO A TYPHOON. MEANWHILE, HAIMA INTENSIFIED
GRADUALLY FROM A TROPICAL STORM INTO A SEVERE TYPHOON
YESTERDAY. UNDER THE COMBINED EFFECT OF THE NORTHEAST
MONSOON AND SARIKA, IT WILL BE WINDIER WITH SQUALLY SHOWERS
OVER THE SOUTH CHINA COAST.
WEATHER FORECAST FOR HONG KONG
MAINLY CLOUDY. SUNNY INTERVALS IN THE MORNING. TEMPERATURES
WILL RANGE BETWEEN 25 AND 29 DEGREES. MODERATE TO FRESH
NORTHEASTERLY WINDS. WINDS WILL STRENGTHEN GRADUALLY WITH A
FEW SQUALLY SHOWERS LATER. THERE WILL BE SWELLS.
