Judicial appointment

The Judiciary today (January 5) announced the appointment of Mr Wong Tsz-choi as a Member of the Lands Tribunal. The appointment is made by the Chief Executive on the recommendation of the Judicial Officers Recommendation Commission. It will take effect from January 6, 2026.
The biographical note of Mr Wong is as follows:
Mr Wong Tsz-choi was born in Hong Kong in 1977. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Surveying and further acquired a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong in 1999 and 2013 respectively. He was elected a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors of the United Kingdom and a Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors both in 2006. He became a Registered Professional Surveyor (General Practice) of the Surveyors Registration Board in Hong Kong in 2007. He has been in private practice in surveying since 2006.
