Scheme delivers community care

A pilot scheme that involves Care Teams providing services and follow-up support to the elderly and carers in their communities currently serves households in the Tsuen Wan and Southern Districts, and is being considered for extension to all 18 districts.

News.gov.hk interviewed an elderly couple whose daily lives have been enhanced by the District Services and Community Care Teams - Pilot Scheme on Supporting Elderly and Carers, and learned more from a Care Team member and a representative of the Social Welfare Department about the services provided.
