Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected liquid cocaine worth about $1.6 million (with photo)

During an anti-narcotics operation conducted in Sham Shui Po yesterday afternoon, Customs officers intercepted a man and found the batch of suspected liquid cocaine from a red wine bottle inside his rucksack. The 22-year-old man was subsequently arrested.
An investigation is ongoing.
Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
