Hong Kong Customs holds meeting with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Representative Office in Hong Kong (with photos)

     The Commissioner of Customs and Excise, Ms Louise Ho, today (October 10) met with the Chief Representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Representative Office in Hong Kong, Ms Wang Guannan, and her delegation in the Customs Headquarters Building to strengthen co-operation and establish closer ties between the two parties.
      
     Hong Kong Customs introduced to the delegation at the meeting the Hong Kong Authorized Economic Operator Programme, Intermodal Transport, the Single E-lock Scheme and the intellectual property rights protection regime and enforcement situation in Hong Kong with a view to assisting Mainland companies in understanding the latest related policies and trade facilitation measures.
      
     The meeting also covered multiple topics. Riding on the advantages of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, Hong Kong Customs has been actively promoting multiple schemes to enhance clearance and trade facilitation. The possible collaboration between Hong Kong Customs and the CCPIT to jointly promote the economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was also explored.
