The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Berlin (HKETO Berlin) hosted the opening of the HONG KONG PROGRAMME on April 22 (Vienna time) in the second edition of the Red Lotus Asian Film Festival, which took place from April 20 to 23. The Festival is a showcase of Asian cinema and at the same time a hub for communication with, between and amongst the numerous Asian communities in Vienna and beyond.

This year, the Festival presented a handpicked selection of recent daring as well as successful films from Asia. Two Hong Kong productions were featured in the dedicated HONG KONG PROGRAMME, which was sponsored by the HKETO Berlin: "A Guilty Conscience" and "Let It Ghost".

The second film in the HONG KONG PROGRAMME, "Let It Ghost", is an anthology film that delivers three horror stories with a twist.

Speaking at the opening screening of the HONG KONG PROGRAMME, the Director of the HKETO Berlin, Ms Jenny Szeto, expressed her gratitude for the great collaboration with the Festival, which provides an excellent platform to showcase Hong Kong's rich cinematographic to the wider European audience. "I am deeply thrilled about this partnership, as I find that Red Lotus and Hong Kong are simply a perfect match for each other", said Ms Szeto.
