​Following is the transcript of remarks by the Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Lam Sai-hung, at a media session on the proposed toll plans for the three road harbour crossings after attending a radio programme today (March 25):
 
Reporter: Some said that there will be a huge increase in the tolls for the cross habour tunnels, from $10 to $50 for some of the vehicles. The minibus operators are saying they have to raise the fares due to the "toll hikes". Do you think this will be a burden on passengers?
 
Secretary for Transport and Logistics: Concerning the toll for the commercial vehicles, including the public light bus, the average existing toll for the three tunnels for public light bus is around $46. We now set a toll level for the public light bus at $50. We consider that the toll level for the commercial vehicles, including the public light bus, at a rate of $50 is appropriate, bearing in mind that the toll for the public light bus for the Cross-Harbour Tunnel has not been raised for more than 30 years.
