Public hospitals welcome babies of Year of Rabbit (with photos)
***************************************************************
Entering the first day of the Lunar New Year, public hospitals welcomed two babies born in the Year of the Rabbit. The first baby boy was born in United Christian Hospital (UCH) at 0.03am, weighed 2.94kg. Another baby boy, weighed 2.9kg, was born in Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) at 0.25am.
The first baby of the Year of the Rabbit born in UCH is the first child of the Lee's family. Mr and Mrs Lee are thrilled as they did not expect the baby will be born on the first day of the Lunar New Year. They wish their son grow up safe, happy and healthy, and they are grateful for the care given by our healthcare workers. Mr Lee also described his wife as such a brave and strong mother, and sincerely thanked her for her efforts during pregnancy.
The baby boy born in QMH is also the first child in his family. Since he has a round face, his parents Mr and Mrs Yung called him "Little Bun". They wish "Little Bun" good health. Mrs Yung also said that it is to her surprise that the baby boy was born on the first day of Lunar New Year, and that she and her husband will cherish the baby boy as much as they can.
The Hospital Authority wishes the babies good health and growth, and wishes you all happiness in the Year of the Rabbit.
