Government actively follows up on restriction imposed by Korean authority on flights from Hong Kong to only land at Incheon International Airport
******************************************************************************************
A spokesman for the HKSAR Government said today (January 10), "The HKSAR Government noted that passenger flights from Hong Kong will only be permitted to land at Incheon International Airport starting from today till the end of next month. The HKSAR Government considers the restriction, which targets flights departing from Hong Kong, unreasonable. The HKSAR Government has written to the Korean authority and liaised with the Consulate General of Korea in Hong Kong to express our grave concern and strongly request the authority to withdraw the restriction concerned."
The Transport and Logistics Bureau has reminded local airlines to inform affected travellers of the latest flight arrangements as soon as possible, and to provide them with necessary support and assistance.
