Special traffic and transport arrangements in Chai Wan during Chung Yeung Festival
**********************************************************************************
The Transport Department (TD) reminded members of the public today (September 16) that special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented in Chai Wan during the Chung Yeung Festival. With the epidemic persisting, the TD appealed to grave sweepers to stagger grave-sweeping activities over a wider period before and after the Chung Yeung Festival (October 4), and observe social distancing measures to reduce the risk of virus transmission. The relevant traffic and transport arrangements are as follows:

A. Special Traffic Arrangements

(i) Temporary prohibited zone

The section of Cape Collinson Road east of Lin Shing Road (i.e. the left-turning movement from Lin Shing Road to Cape Collinson Road leading to the vicinity of the Chinese Permanent Cemetery) will be temporarily designated as a private car prohibited zone from 7am to 3pm daily from September 18 to October 22. All private cars, expect those with permits, will be prohibited from entering the prohibited zone.

(ii) Road closures

Road closures to be implemented on September 24 and 25 and October 1, 2, 8 and 9
