Change of operating hours of Man Kam To Control Point for cargo clearance
***************************************************************
The Government announced today (August 24) that the operating hours for cargo clearance of the Man Kam To Control Point (MKTCP) will change to 7am to 0.00am daily with effect from September 2 (Friday).
Under the epidemic situation earlier this year, and to ensure a stable supply of fresh produce to Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government and the Shenzhen Municipal Government had, after deliberation, agreed to extend the operating hours of the MKTCP for cargo clearance to 7am to 3am the next day. Given that the epidemic situation has become more stable, the HKSAR Government and the Shenzhen Municipal Government have agreed to adjust the operating hours of the MKTCP with effect from September 2. For avoidance of doubt, the MKTCP will provide cargo clearance on September 1 to 3am the next day.
The HKSAR Government and the Shenzhen Municipal Government will inform the trade on the adjustment of operating hours of the MKTCP in a timely manner, and the smooth supply of food produce to Hong Kong will not be affected.
The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) will continue to update and publish the fresh food supply information daily. Members of the public may visit the AFCD website for updates on daily supplies and wholesale prices of fresh food (www.afcd.gov.hk/english/agriculture/agr_fresh/agr_fresh.html).
