LCSD displays board game floor stickers for public enjoyment (with photos)
***************************************************************
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People's Republic of China, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) has invited an illustrator to design a board game with the theme of celebration activities organised by the LCSD, and adapt the board game to floor stickers. The floor stickers will be installed at nine LCSD leisure and cultural venues in phases for members of the public to share the joy of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.
The board game floor sticker features a number of celebration activities organised by the LCSD such as the new extension of the Oi! art space; the 60th anniversary of Hong Kong City Hall; the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Series: "the Road to the Baroque - Masterpieces from the Capodimonte Museum" exhibition and "The Big Eight - Dinosaur Revelation" exhibition; "Art@Harbour"; Blossom Around Town and Happy@Parks. The LCSD has kick-started a wealth of cultural, arts, recreational and sports programmes which will last until the end of this year. The HKJC Series and some of the celebration activities are exclusively sponsored by the HKJC, as one of the many initiatives supported by the HKJC's approved donation of $630 million to the Government of the HKSAR to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR, demonstrating that the HKJC is resolute in pursuing its purpose of acting continuously for the betterment of society, all in support of creating stronger communities together.
Members of the public are welcome to visit the floor stickers at Tsuen Wan Town Hall Plaza, Kwai Tsing Theatre Plaza, Quarry Bay Park, Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, Hong Kong Velodrome Park and Tsuen Wan Park from now. Giant dice and wheels are also available at the locations. The installation of floor stickers at Tuen Mun Town Hall, Kai Tak Station Square and Sha Tin Park will be completed and open for public enjoyment soon.
Meanwhile, visitors could collect stamp collection cards at the above venues and participate in the LCSD's souvenir redemption scheme. Upon joining selected celebration programmes, members of the public could receive a stamp and those who have collected four stamps by participating in two cultural and two leisure and sports programmes within this year could redeem a box of the commemorative LCSD Board Game for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR designed by an illustrator, while stock lasts.
The LCSD reminds the public to comply with the regulations on the prohibition of group gatherings of more than the number of people as stipulated by the law and the mask-wearing requirement in public places. The public should also be considerate to other users, keep places clean and take good care of public property.
