High-Angle Rescue Training Centre of CAS opens (with photos)
************************************************************
The Director of Architectural Services, Ms Winnie Ho, today (May 13) officiated at the Opening Ceremony of the High-Angle Rescue Training Centre of the Civil Aid Service (CAS).

Other officiating guests included the Assistant Director of Architectural Services (Property Services), Mr Alan Sin; the Commissioner of the CAS, Mr Lo Yan-lai, and the Chief Staff Officer of the CAS, Mr Francis Fong.

Equipped with training facilities for high-angle and confined-space rescue, the new, two-storey Training Centre serves as a specialised site for personnel of the CAS Mountain Search and Rescue Company and Emergency Rescue Company to conduct training. This enables the personnel to enhance professional knowledge in mountain rescue and urban search as well as rescue skills, thereby strengthening their capabilities in conducting rescue and disaster operations.

After the opening ceremony, Ms Ho and other officiating guests toured the training facilities of the Centre and watched various training demonstrations.
