The Chief Executive today (November 25) announced the Policy Address, entitled "Striving Ahead with Renewed Perseverance". The Director of Fire Services, Mr Joseph Leung, said that the Policy Address had proposed a wide range of measures to restore Hong Kong's constitutional order, consolidate and enhance Hong Kong's strengths, diversify the city's economic development, and build on past efforts to continue to improve people's well-being, with a view to resolving immediate and long-term social problems.

     The Fire Services Department, as a government department and a member of the disciplinary forces, will continue to stand fast to its promise of "serving with courage, passion and commitment", as well as do its utmost to perform the statutory duties to support the policies and directions of the HKSAR Government, which will enable smooth implementation of measures that can bring benefits to the people and social development, maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong.
