HA announces passing away of two COVID-19 patients

The Hospital Authority spokesperson today (August 12) announced the passing away of two patients confirmed with COVID-19 infection today.
A 79-year-old male patient (case number: 3733), admitted to Caritas Medical Centre on August 3 due to fever and subsequently transferred to Yan Chai Hospital on August 6, succumbed at 1.04am this morning.
A 91-year-old female patient (case number: 2405), admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on July 23 due to fever, succumbed at 1.40am this morning.
Both patients had chronic diseases and their conditions continued to deteriorate after admission. The hospitals concerned are saddened by the passing away of the patients and will offer necessary assistance to their family members.
Including the above two patients, 61 COVID-19 patients have passed away in public hospitals so far.
