Public hospitals daily update on COVID-19 cases

As at 9am today (July 31), 91 COVID-19 confirmed patients (case numbers: 1301, 1352, 1360, 1408, 1435, 1467, 1483, 1510, 1535, 1538, 1599, 1614, 1642, 1652, 1690, 1693, 1695, 1703, 1719, 1727, 1738, 1748, 1758, 1759, 1787, 1790, 1812, 1851, 1857, 1878, 1905, 1917, 1920, 1925, 1950, 1953, 1959, 1964, 1971, 1992, 2013, 2015, 2035, 2040, 2046, 2061, 2069, 2085, 2096, 2100, 2113, 2126, 2134, 2138, 2139, 2142, 2150, 2169, 2175, 2185, 2200, 2201, 2207, 2210, 2213, 2214, 2217, 2220, 2222, 2239, 2256, 2276, 2283, 2309, 2325, 2371, 2376, 2440, 2461, 2467, 2496, 2504, 2512, 2556, 2585, 2594, 2625, 2651, 2679, 2730 and 2872) were discharged from hospital. So far a total of 1 751 patients with confirmed or probable infection have been discharged.
At present, there are 656 negative pressure rooms in public hospitals with 1 236 negative pressure beds activated. A total of 1 187 confirmed patients are currently hospitalised in 16 public hospitals and a community isolation facility, among which 43 patients are in critical condition (case numbers: 595, 1346, 1401, 1424, 1470, 1473, 1491, 1497, 1498, 1612, 1650, 1679, 1718, 1767, 1777, 1779, 1806, 1835, 1940, 1955, 1989, 2048, 2075, 2079, 2086, 2115, 2133, 2161, 2172, 2208, 2269, 2315, 2408, 2458, 2479, 2484, 2522, 2703, 2705, 2746, 2896, 2941 and 2942), 39 are in serious condition (case numbers: 1315, 1556, 1687, 1722, 1795, 1798, 1805, 1843, 1912, 1952, 1956, 1998, 2033, 2078, 2143, 2148, 2246, 2282, 2288, 2313, 2334, 2358, 2362, 2412, 2422, 2452, 2560, 2576, 2591, 2595, 2650, 2657, 2769, 2789, 2792, 2894, 2901, 2940 and 2951) and the remaining 1 105 patients are in stable condition.
The Hospital Authority will maintain close contact with the Centre for Health Protection to monitor the latest developments and to inform the public and healthcare workers on the latest information in a timely manner.
