Hong Kong Arts Development Council nomination exercise 2019 polling results

     The exercise to nominate representatives of arts interests for the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC) 2019 ended yesterday (October 22). Of the 6,846 registered voters, 3,184 cast votes for their representatives. The voter turnout rate was 46.5 per cent.
 
     Ballots were immediately counted upon completion of polling at 9pm yesterday. The following candidates received the highest number of votes and were returned in the seven contested arts interests:

     As there was only one candidate standing for nomination in each of the following three arts interests, no polling was conducted for these interests and the following candidates were returned uncontested:
 
Kwong Wai-lap (Arts Administration)
Lo Wai-luk (Arts Criticism)
Daniel Yeung Chun-kong (Dance)
 
     The list of nominated representatives will be submitted to the Chief Executive for consideration of appointment to the HKADC for the next term commencing January 1, 2020.
