Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre to hold "Secret Garden" and "18 Scenes in a Cage"
*******************************************************************************
Created by multi-disciplinary artist Kingsley Ng and his team, "Secret Garden" is a night-time tour of light art and art installations. Visitors are guided to step into a fictional story with the HKVAC as the backdrop, to transcend time and space, and reflect on their personal experiences and aspirations through their interactions within the story.
The "Secret Garden" art tour will be held from March 18 to April 2. Several sessions will be held each evening and night with a quota of 12 people per session. Those who are interested can register online from noon, March 19, onwards at www.hksecretgarden.com. Admission is free and places will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. No walk-in registrations will be accepted.
In addition, the HKVAC will co-organise "18 Scenes in a Cage", a performance programme with music by media artist GayBird and other musicians and performers, on March 26 and 27. The performances will showcase the distinctive historical identity of Cassels Block, which houses the HKVAC, and the relationship between the building and the city. Visitors will have a sensory experience of all forms of art, and examine the interaction between media technology, time and architectural space.
"18 Scenes in a Cage" will be broadcast live on Facebook at 7.30pm on March 27. Those who are interested please visit HKVAC's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/hkvac.
Both programmes are presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and organised by the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre. For details of these two programmes, please visit www.lcsd.gov.hk/CE/Museum/APO/en_US/web/apo/va_programmes.html or call 2521 3008.
