One more nomination for Legislative Council by-election received

The nomination period for the 2018 Legislative Council by-election started on January 16. The Returning Officer for the Kowloon West geographical constituency received one nomination today (January 26). No nominee was named for the Hong Kong Island geographical constituency, the New Territories East geographical constituency and the Architectural, Surveying, Planning and Landscape functional constituency.

The number of nomination forms received so far for each constituency is as follows:

Architectural, Surveying, Planning and Landscape functional constituency	0	2

Particulars of the nominees are available on the election website (www.elections.gov.hk/legco2018by/eng/nominat2.html).

The nomination period will run until January 29. If the number of validly nominated candidates for a geographical constituency/functional constituency is more than one at the by-election, a poll will be held on March 11 (Sunday) for the by-election for that geographical/functional constituency.
