Reporter: (On an alleged sexual assault case and One-way Permits.)
Secretary for Security: I appeal to any victim who has been sexually assaulted or sexually harassed to make a complaint or report to either the Police or the Equal Opportunities Commission. These departments, in their investigation of the cases, will require the assistance of the victim. Without their evidence, the investigation will be very difficult. These departments and organisations have very good experience in dealing with sexual complaints. They will ensure that all such complaints will be fairly and professionally handled. The rights of the victims will be fully protected.
In regard to the One-way Permit admission, every year there is a quota set for the number of people to come to Hong Kong through the scheme. Because the validity of the permits lasts for three months, the person concerned will come at a time which will be in accordance with their own needs and schedule. From this year's figure, we already have seen that the daily visit or daily admission to Hong Kong is about 130, so the figure fluctuates according to the schedule and needs of the person concerned.
