"Eclipse" to bring illusion and dance spectacular to Hong Kong
**************************************************************
"Eclipse", co-produced by Emmy-nominated director Michael Londra and dancer Anthony Street, will be staged in Hong Kong in December and January. A combination of illusion and spectacular dance, audiences are promised a highly entertaining performance.
"Eclipse" integrates choreography from Broadway, tap, ballroom, jazz and Celtic dance and blends it with singing and illusory magic in a new production spin-off from "Celtic Illusion", a well-received show co-produced by the same duo in 2011.
Artistic director Michael Londra was the lead singer in the Broadway version of “Riverdance” in 2011-12, and his co-produced television special "Beyond Celtic" earned two Emmy nominations. He was named Best Irish Tenor at the Irish Music Awards, and is the creative director and co-producer of numerous large-scale music and dance shows.
Choreographer and lead dancer Anthony Street was the lead dancer in Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance". Street started learning Irish dancing and using magic in performance at a young age. In 2011, he created "Celtic Illusion", a fusion of dance and magic, which has toured Australia and New Zealand during the last five years to great audience acclaim.
