Home Affairs Bureau to host 10th Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum

     The 10th Asia Cultural Co-operation Forum (ACCF) will be held tomorrow (November 28) and on November 29 with cultural ministers and senior officials from 10 Asian countries participating to exchange views on the theme of "Cultural Sustainability in a Dynamic World: Connecting Diversity".
     
     The ACCF was launched in 2003 by the Home Affairs Bureau to foster regional cultural co-operation, share good practices and promote culture and the arts. To mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the 10th edition of the ACCF, a larger event has been arranged to last for two days this year and there are Belt and Road countries joining the ACCF for the first time, as well as senior cultural representatives from the Mainland provinces and Macau.

     The highlight of the ACCF 2017 will be the Asian Cultural Ministers' Panel Discussion, during which the participants will share their insights and experiences in respect of policy and measures for supporting the development of culture and the arts. There will also be two plenaries to be held during the Forum on topics relating to youth, information technology and cultural development.

     The Minister of Culture, Mr Luo Shugang, and the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, will address the session. Other participating cultural ministers or their representatives will also take turns to speak on the theme.
