Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected smuggled electronic products (with photos)

Customs officers today intercepted an outgoing light goods vehicle at Lok Ma Chau Control Point for inspection and seized the batch of used smartphones and tablet computers on board the vehicle. The 44-year-old male driver was arrested. Investigation into the case is ongoing.
Smuggling is a serious offence. Under the Import and Export Ordinance, any person found guilty of importing or exporting unmanifested cargo is liable to a maximum fine of $2 million and imprisonment for seven years.
