SHA congratulates Hong Kong cycling athletes on winning first gold medal at 13th National Games

The Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, today (September 1) congratulated Hong Kong athletes Pang Yao and Yang Qianyu on winning a gold medal in Women's Madison (Track Cycling) at the 13th National Games being held in Tianjin. This is also the first gold medal won by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region delegation at the Games.

Mr Lau said, "They have won their competition with the greatest strength and team spirit and made new achievements in sport for the glory of Hong Kong. I sincerely congratulate them on their success."
