The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 27 temporary shelters in various districts and 198 people have sought refuge at the shelters.
The 1823 Government Call Centre has so far received 15 reports of fallen tree.
On air traffic, the Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that a total of 420 flights have been cancelled as at 6.30am.
The Drainage Services Department has not received any reports of flooding so far. No report of landslide has been received.
