Suspension of services of Transport Department

     The Transport Department today (August 23) announced that the public services under the department, i.e. the Licensing Offices, the Public Vehicles Unit, the Cross Boundary Unit, the Vehicle Examination Centres, the Driving Test Appointment Office and the Driving Test Centres, will be suspended as the No. 8 gale or storm signal is now in force.

     Candidates scheduled for driving test this morning will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements. If No. 8 gale or storm signal is still in force at 11.30am,all driving tests today will be cancelled. Candidates will be individually informed of the alternative arrangements.

     Applicants who have made an appointment for renewal of a full driving licence/vehicle licence or application for an international driving permit at anytimeslot before lowering of the No.8 gale or storm signal or within two hours after the lowering of the signal will have to reschedule the appointment by making a fresh application.
