SEN conducts home visits under "Celebrations for All" project in North District (with photos)

The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Wong Kam-sing, visited the elderly and families in need in North District under the "Celebrations for All" project today (June 12).
Accompanied by the District Officer (North), Mr Yau Kin-chung, as well as members of the North District Council, district organisations and volunteers, Mr Wong visited grass-roots and elderly families in the district to learn more about their living conditions and needs. He also distributed gift packs to them to share the joy of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Mr Wong said at the launch ceremony that the Government co-ordinated the project in collaboration with non-governmental organisations and district groups to express community care and concern for the families in need.
Mr Wong also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the 23 participating organisations and district groups in North District, as well as the volunteers who offered full support to the project and extended their warmest wishes to the families in need.
Others participating in the home visits today included the Permanent Secretary for the Environment/Director of Environmental Protection, Mr Donald Tong, and the Under Secretary for the Environment, Ms Christine Loh.
