Chits for registration of ex-gratia allowance claims ready for collection by eligible fishermen starting June 6

The Lands Department (LandsD) announced today (May 29) that eligible fishermen affected by marine works projects in the waters on the northern side of Lantau Island may collect chits for registration of ex-gratia allowance claims starting June 6.
The marine works projects include the expansion of Hong Kong International Airport into a three-runway system and other more minor projects. Eligible claimants are fishermen from Tai O, Tung Chung, Sha Lo Wan, Ma Wan, Tsing Lung Tau, Yam O, Castle Peak Bay and Tsuen Wan, with vessels not exceeding 15 metres in length.
Following established procedures, an inter-departmental working group (IWG) comprising representatives from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, the Marine Department, the Home Affairs Department, the LandsD and relevant works departments has been set up to follow up on the arrangement. The fishermen concerned have been informed of the registration arrangements separately.
All claimants have to follow the date, time and venue specified below to collect the chits and turn up personally, according to the details specified in the chits, to register their claims. Details of the chit distribution are listed below:
For fishermen of Tai O
